The TCM is a very common failure. The P090a code is actually a code for a fault within the tcm so you do have a code for the tcm. I feel it was set because of the broken shift fork though. The typical code set with a bad tcm is P087a. However, when trying to move a broken fork it could have damaged the tcm also.You'll need to check the voltage of the clutch motor A. If it read above 5.2V, the circuit is open and need to be repaired (aka the wire is damaged). If it read below 5.2V, the resistance need to be checked.
